Trailside Park
Our first stop on this tour is Trailside Park. This 20 acre park has plenty of space for all your outdoor activity needs. Got a little league star in the family? Enjoy the park’s baseball diamond and batting cages. This park is also home to the Madison Small memorial softball complex.

Recently, Trailside Park got an upgrade with its very own roller hockey rink, which was in coordination with The Washington Capital’s hockey team to help grow the sport of hockey in the region. Go Caps!

If you would rather spend some time in nature, Trailside park is right next to the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. This paved trail is 45 miles long and allows you to experience a mix of urban landscape and serene countryside.

Continue Straight down Claiborne Parkway and take a left onto Hay Road.

Enjoy the scenery! Ashburn Park is coming up next. A left turn on Partlow Road will get ya there. Just follow your navigation!

Ashburn Park
Next on our tour is Ashburn Park. If you’ve got little ones in tow, you’ve come to the right place. Ashburn park offers plenty of playground space with play equipment suitable for all ages.

No need to worry about fighting for a swingset, this park offers plenty of swings and slides to play on, making playtime a breeze.

For the more “mature” visitors, enjoy the nature loop around the park that offers a cozy, quiet walk as well as tranquil views of Beaverdam Run.

If you’re looking to host a picnic or outdoor gathering make sure to call and inquire about their pavilion rentals.

On your way out make sure to stop by The Difference Baker. It’s on the right hand side of Ashburn Road. This bakery is certified gluten, soy, peanut, and tree-nut free, so anyone with allergies can rest assured their treats are free from cross contamination.

Enjoy all your bakery classics like freshly fried donuts, cinnamon rolls or my personal favorite, snickerdoodles. A sweet treat is a great way to finish off a fun day at the park.

Head on back to Ashburn Road, turn right, and then make sure to take a left at Farmwell Road.

Keep your eyes peeled, we will be passing the scenic Cedar Lake on your left. Enjoy catch and release fishing or taking your kayak onto the water. Just watch out for any geese that may try to steal your bait.

Follow your navigation as you head to our next park on this list, Hampshire Park!

There is also an Handicap accessible trail, perfect for all athletic abilities.

Did you know Ray Muth Sr. Memorial Park is named after the former Ashburn Fire and Rescue Chief?

The Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue started in 1944 after the small farming community suffered a devastating house fire.

Since then, Ashburn has grown considerably in size. It was Ray Muth who was instrumental in making sure Ashburn’s Fire Department was equipped for the changing population size. He was also inducted into the Fire Service Hall of Fame.

Continue following your navigation.

As you drive through Ashburn, it’s crazy to think less than 100 years ago, this was all farmland!

Now you can enjoy working from home while basking in the warmth of the sun.

In the warmer months, you’ll often find movie showings projected in the park, perfect for a summer night. Central Park One Loudoun is also host to the Eatloco Farmers Market which offers over 100 local vendors to choose from, making it one of the largest markets in Virginia.

If you visit, you really should try some of the Fresh, New York style Bagels from Bagel Joy!

When the holiday season comes around, you’ve got to visit to see the spectacular annual lights show, perfect for all ages.
