אנחנו מתחילים את ההרפתקה שלנו בדטרויט ממש בלב העניינים – פארק קמפוס מרטיוס. המקום התוסס הזה, שמכונה "מקום המפגש" של דטרויט, מחבר בין אנשים מאז 2004, כשהוא עוצב מחדש כגולת הכותרת של החייאת מרכז העיר.

השם "קמפוס מרטיוס" פירושו בעצם "שדה מאדים" בלטינית, והוא מחזיר אותנו אחורה לשנת 1788, כשמדידת העיר המקורית של דטרויט קבעה את הנקודה המדויקת הזו כמרכז הרשמי של העיר. למעשה, כל הרחובות הראשיים התפצלו פעם מכאן כמו חישורים של גלגל.

היום, הפארק הוא ממש לא רק פרט טריוויה היסטורי. הוא שוקק חיים עם פעילויות לאורך כל השנה – הקיץ מביא איתו הופעות באוויר הפתוח, פוד-טראקס ואפילו חוף ים עירוני חולי, בזמן שהחורף הופך את הפארק לארץ פלאות חגיגית עם החלקה על הקרח מתחת לאורות מנצנצים.

מסביב לפארק תמצאו כמה מהבניינים והעסקים החשובים ביותר של דטרויט, מה שהופך אותו לא רק למקום מעולה להירגע בו, אלא גם לסמל של התחדשות העיר. אז בין אם באתם לכאן כדי לצפות באנשים, לחטוף משהו לאכול, או פשוט לספוג את הוויב, קמפוס מרטיוס הוא המקום המושלם להתחיל לחקור את דטרויט.

בניין הגרדיאן - גורד שחקים ארט דקו
מצד ימין שלכם מופיע עכשיו אחד מסימני ההיכר הכי מרהיבים של דטרויט – בניין הגארדיאן. גורד השחקים הזה, בן 40 הקומות שבנייתו הושלמה ב-1929, מכונה לעיתים קרובות "קתדרלת הפיננסים", וברגע שתראו אותו, תבינו מיד למה.

הוא עוצב על ידי האדריכל וירט רואלנד, והוא דוגמה קלאסית לארכיטקטורת ארט דקו, עם צורות גיאומטריות נועזות, עבודת אריחים צבעונית וחללים פנימיים דרמטיים. החלק החיצוני שלו זוהר בלבנים כתומות, ובפנים תמצאו לובי עוצר נשימה מלא באריחי פואביק ורוקווד, פסיפסים ותקרות קמורות ונישאות. ההרגשה היא ממש כמו כניסה לקתדרלה מפוארת ולא לבניין בנק.

We have been working hard to deliver a great experience. Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
+ Can I take the tour in my language?
Though all of our tours are primarily in English, many tours are muyltilingual (including: Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Hebrew, French, Arabic and more...).
