Bienvenue au mont Camel ! Aussi connu sous le nom de Har Gamal en hébreu, c’est un célèbre point de vue près de Mitzpe Ramon, nommé ainsi pour sa forme évoquant un chameau qui s’élève doucement au-dessus du paysage. Situé juste au bord du cratère de Ramon, cet endroit offre certaines des meilleures vues panoramiques sur l’immense paysage coloré du cratère et sur le désert du Néguev au-delà. C’est un lieu prisé des photographes et des amoureux de la nature, surtout au lever et au coucher du soleil, lorsque les couleurs du désert s’illuminent de teintes chaudes et magnifiques.

La courte promenade jusqu’au mont Camel est facile et accessible, ce qui en fait un excellent arrêt pour les visiteurs de tout âge. Des aires de repos et des rebords permettent de s’asseoir, de se détendre et de profiter des vues paisibles du désert, souvent accompagnées de l’observation de bouquetins sauvages qui parcourent la région.
