Nous commençons notre visite à pied sur l’avenue Roustavéli, la grande artère de la ville, près de l’imposante Maison de l’Opéra de Tbilissi, un symbole de l’élégance du XIXe siècle. De là, nous traverserons les rues animées, franchissant le pittoresque fleuve Koura avec ses vues imprenables sur le vieux et le nouveau Tbilissi. En revenant sur le pont, le cœur ancien de la ville nous appelle, où nous explorerons les emblématiques bains de soufre qui ont apaisé les voyageurs pendant des siècles. Notre parcours se termine à la place de la Liberté, un centre animé imprégné de l’esprit de liberté et d’indépendance, reflétant parfaitement le riche patrimoine de Tbilissi. We begin our walking tour at Rustaveli Avenue, the city's grand boulevard, near the magnificent Tbilisi Opera House, a symbol of 19th-century elegance. From here, we'll make our way through the lively streets, crossing the scenic Kura River with its stunning views of old and new Tbilisi. As we stroll back across the bridge, the city's ancient heart beckons, where we'll explore the iconic Sulphur baths that have soothed travelers for centuries. Our journey concludes at Liberty Square, a bustling hub steeped in the spirit of freedom and independence, offering a perfect reflection of Tbilisi's rich heritage. Our tour today runs roughly 2 and half miles, so I hope you brought your comfortable walking shoes. If you don’t feel like going the distance, you can always explore selected portions of the tour. If you’re anything like me, the film “Notting Hill” surely left an everlasting impression since the first time you watched it. The iconic romantic comedy that came out in 1999, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, quickly became a sensation to all those who saw it. Taking place in Notting Hill, a vibrant neighborhood in West London, the film has left an indelible mark on the area, turning many of its picturesque streets and quaint shops into must-visit destinations for movie lovers like us. This walking tour will begin at The Ritz, the exact hotel where Julia Roberts’ character was staying in the film. We will then take a lovely stroll through the amazing Hyde Park to learn a bit about London’s history and the important landmarks within the grass, until we pop out the other side in Notting Hill! We will get to see all of the influential sites from the film, along with stories, and new interesting facts. It is so much fun to immerse yourself in your favorite movie, but Notting Hill is a special one indeed. From the iconic blue door to the eclectic markets that show in the opening scene, this tour will take you through the film step by step.
