Vamos por North Palm Canyon Drive.
Empezamos nuestro recorrido por North Palm Canyon Drive, la arteria principal y columna vertebral histórica de la ciudad.

North Palm Canyon Drive sigue un sendero ancestral usado por la banda Agua Caliente de los indios Cahuilla, mucho antes de que Palm Springs fuera un destino turístico. Lo que empezó como un corredor natural por el cañón, terminó convirtiéndose en la calle principal.

Para los años 40 y 50, este tramo se volvió el corazón social de Palm Springs. Estrellas de cine, músicos y diseñadores paseaban entre hoteles, clubes y mansiones privadas, transformando este pueblo del desierto en un glamuroso refugio de Hollywood.

En un momento, giraremos a la derecha para pasar por el Museo de Arte de Palm Springs, antes de volver a Palm Canyon Drive y seguir hacia el Paseo de las Estrellas.

Estatua "Forever Marilyn" de Seward Johnson
Prepárate para girar a la izquierda, pero antes, a tu izquierda verás *Forever Marilyn*, la icónica escultura de ocho metros del artista Seward Johnson que captura el inolvidable momento de Marilyn Monroe en *La tentación vive arriba*.

Esta estatua ha viajado casi tanto como la mismísima Marilyn. Se inauguró en Chicago en 2011, luego se mudó a Nueva Jersey y después a Palm Springs. Tras generar bastante debate local y una breve mudanza, *Forever Marilyn* volvió al centro en 2021; un recordatorio de que Marilyn, al igual que Palm Springs, nunca pasa desapercibida por mucho tiempo.

A Marilyn Monroe le encantaba venir a Palm Springs para desconectar de Hollywood. En un ratito pasaremos por una de las casas que visitaba durante sus estancias aquí, lo que nos dará un vistazo de su refugio en el desierto.

Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.

Whenever you approach a point of interest (POI) on the tour, our app will automatically play the relevant audio story at the right time and place.
If you start the tour before reaching the first POI, the app will navigate you to the starting point and then begin the tour.

We have been working hard to deliver a great experience. Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
