The Iconic Welcome to Las Vegas Sign
Coming up ahead is the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, one of the most photographed landmarks in Nevada and the unofficial gateway to the Las Vegas Strip.

Before we get there, welcome to Las Vegas! Over the course of this tour, we'll explore the history, legends, architecture, and larger-than-life attractions that transformed a small desert railroad town into one of the most famous destinations on Earth.

The sign ahead has been welcoming visitors since 1959 and has become a symbol recognized around the world. If you'd like, there's a dedicated parking area where you can stop for photos. It's a popular spot, so expect crowds, especially during the evening hours.

For now, keep following the route and let the excitement build. You're about to experience a city unlike anywhere else—a place where pyramids, castles, dancing fountains, world-class entertainment, and fascinating stories all share the same stretch of desert road. Welcome to Las Vegas!

Luxor Hotel & Casino – The Pyramid of Las Vegas
On your right is the unmistakable Luxor Hotel & Casino, one of the most recognizable buildings on the Las Vegas Strip. Inspired by ancient Egypt, the massive black pyramid rises more than 30 stories above the desert floor and is guarded by a giant sphinx at its entrance.

When the Luxor opened in 1993, it helped define an era when Las Vegas resorts weren't just hotels—they were immersive destinations built around elaborate themes. Inside, you'll find one of the largest atriums in the world, so large that several full-size airplanes could fit beneath its soaring interior.

Take a look toward the top of the pyramid. At night, the Luxor Sky Beam shoots straight into the sky and is considered one of the most powerful beams of light on Earth. On clear evenings, it can be seen from dozens of miles away and has become a landmark for both visitors and pilots approaching Las Vegas.

While much of the city's themed architecture has evolved over the years, the Luxor remains one of the Strip's most distinctive icons, a reminder of Las Vegas's bold philosophy: if you're going to build a hotel, why not build a pyramid?
