Hockey Hall of Fame: Santuario del hockey canadiense
Prepárense para girar a la derecha, pero primero, bienvenidos al Salón de la Fama del Hockey a su derecha, uno de los destinos deportivos más legendarios de Canadá, y el lugar perfecto para arrancar nuestra aventura por Toronto.

Para los canadienses, el hockey no es solo un deporte. Es prácticamente parte de la identidad nacional. Inviernos, estanques congelados, pistas de barrio, prácticas temprano por la mañana: generaciones han crecido con el hockey entretejido en su vida diaria.

Dentro del Salón de la Fama, encontrarán los mayores tesoros del deporte: camisetas históricas, palos icónicos, anillos de campeonato y exhibiciones dedicadas a leyendas del hockey de todas las décadas. Pero la verdadera atracción estrella es la mismísima Copa Stanley, el trofeo más antiguo en los deportes profesionales de Norteamérica y uno de los trofeos más famosos del mundo.

Edificio Dominion: Sabor del viejo Toronto
A tu izquierda tienen el histórico Edificio Público Dominion, uno de los últimos vestigios de la arquitectura gubernamental de principios del siglo XX de Toronto frente al lago.

Terminado en 1935, el edificio fue diseñado al estilo Art Decó, conocido por sus líneas limpias, simetría y mampostería decorativa que simbolizaba confianza, progreso y modernidad en aquella época.

Fíjense bien y notarán detalles tallados y esculturas en relieve integrados directamente en el exterior, algo común en los grandes edificios públicos de la época, pero mucho más raro en la construcción moderna de hoy.

Lo que es especialmente interesante es el contraste que lo rodea. Cuando este edificio se inauguró, el horizonte cercano era relativamente bajo y la zona frente al lago era muy industrial. Hoy, se encuentra rodeado de torres de cristal, estadios, condominios y centros de entretenimiento, casi como una cápsula del tiempo sobreviviente de un Toronto completamente diferente.

Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.
Download the app (Android or iOS), purchase the tour (either here on the website, or from within the app).

UCPlaces acts as your personal tour guide, providing self-guided audio tours fully navigated within our app using GPS-based navigation. You won't need to switch between external navigation apps.
Whenever you approach a point of interest (POI) on the tour, our app will automatically play the relevant audio story at the right time and place.
If you start the tour before reaching the first POI, the app will navigate you to the starting point and then begin the tour.

We have been working hard to deliver a great experience. Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
