Plaça de Catalunya
Plaça de Catalunya, a central square in Barcelona, has a rich history as a major transportation hub and a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. This square is in the midst of some of the busiest streets in Barcelona. The site was once a patch of undeveloped land in front of the city's gates. It was designed in the 19th century and has since become an iconic landmark. Throughout the square are many beautiful fountains and sculptures. The Catalonia square is surrounded by six sculptures representing the four major cities of Catalonia, as well as wisdom and labour. The square has witnessed significant events and political gatherings throughout the years.

La Rambla
La Rambla is one of Barcelona's most famous streets, known for its vibrant atmosphere, lined with shops, cafes, and cultural attractions. After a FC Barcelona match, this is a common meeting place for fans to celebrate. At 1.3 kilometers long, this is one of Barcelona's longest streets. It is divided into several tree lined sections: The street divides the Old Town into two, on one end is Barri Gothic while the other is Barri Raval. The street draws it's name from the Arabic word "ramia" meaning sandy riverbed because of the seasonal stream that used to run in its place. However in 1440 the Romans diverted the stream to run outside the city wall. Since the 15th century this street has been a central part of the city's social and economic life. Visitors can enjoy street performances and various shops and stalls along the boulevard.
