Welcome to our first stop of the tour, Revivalist. Revivalist is a restoration of a historic tavern located in the heart of Huntsville. If you look to your right down Spring Street, on your right you will find Domaine South. Cotton Row

On your left we will pass Cotton Row. Originally built in 1821 and inspired by Huntsville's history in the cotton trade, this classic American restaurant will welcome you in with their authentic southern classics like Fried Green Tomatoes and Buttermilk Fried Quail. Cotton Row owner and Chef James Boyce is often featured on the Today Show and Martha Stewart Living Radio.

Mazzara’s Vinoteca

On your left you will pass Mazzara’s Vinoteca, located in the historic Humphrey Rodgers house. Built in 1848, the house was threatened by demolition due to the encroaching Coca-Cola Bottling plant but narrowly escaped until preservationists finally got the house listed on the National Register of historic places in 1977.

Now it's home to Mazzara’s Vinoteca, serving classic Italian dishes like Spaghetti Pomodoro or Chicken Marsala complete with fresh, inhouse made pasta and bread. A perfect place for any carb lover.

Make sure to take a left onto Franklin Street.

Commerce Kitchen

Up ahead we will be passing Commerce Kitchen on your left. Commerce Kitchen was opened in 2010 by Chef Joyce of Cotton Row as a companion restaurant serving classic comforts while serving homage to southern styles of cooking. Try southern specialties like Blackened Catfish and Homestyle meatloaf and of course Dijon collard greens.

The Poppy and Parliament

Just down North Side Square is The Poppy and Parliament. This upscale English Pub offers a taste from across the pond. The Poppy was officially incorporated in May 2019 and the Parliament was added as an addition in November of 2020. Try traditional English fish and chips or if you are feeling more adventurous, go for the Beggar’s Purse Frog Legs.

Aside from the fantastic food, The Poppy and Parliament also has an onsite British-inspired gourmet store and butcher shoppe, so you can take a taste of England back home with you.

Up next on your left is The Bottle, named after its predecessor the Green Bottle Grill. The Bottle has great Southern cuisine with a seasonal inspired menu and plenty of French influence. The Purveyor is one of downtown Huntsville newest additions and offers new and unique cocktail choices in a relaxed atmosphere. On your right we will pass 1892 East Restaurant and Tavern. Crush Wine and Food Festival

As we make our way to our last stop on the tour, let me tell you about the Huntsville Crush Wine and Food Festival. This festival was named in the top twenty events of The Southeast Tourism Society and for good reason. This festival offers over 150 wine labels to taste along with plenty of local vendors and food trucks to eat from.

Aside from all the great wine,this festival also has an onsite Charcuterie Class, Chocolate and wine pairing as well as a Whisky and Wild game garden hosted by the Huntsville local Sip and Lounge.

Make sure to stay for the live music as well and feel good knowing you’re supporting Huntsville’s best local vendors!

Flight Plan Wine and Tapas

Our final stop on this tour is Flight Plan Wine and Tapas. Flight Plan was started in 2019 by Chefs Jim and Belinda Taylor after they retired from their jobs in pharmaceutical management and education.

Like the name suggests, Flight Plan Wine and Tapas’ speciality is wine flights. Try flights based on location such as “Down Under White” that has a variety of wines from New Zealand and Australia or “Napa Royalty” which offers wines from only the best in Napa Valley.

For those who aren't wine fans, don't worry, Flight Plan also provides a build your own Whisky Flight menu as well.
