Mazzara’s Vinoteca
On your left you will pass Mazzara’s Vinoteca, located in the historic Humphrey Rodgers house. Built in 1848, the house was threatened by demolition due to the encroaching Coca-Cola Bottling plant but narrowly escaped until preservationists finally got the house listed on the National Register of historic places in 1977.

Now it's home to Mazzara’s Vinoteca, serving classic Italian dishes like Spaghetti Pomodoro or Chicken Marsala complete with fresh, inhouse made pasta and bread. A perfect place for any carb lover.

Just down North Side Square is The Poppy and Parliament. This upscale English Pub offers a taste from across the pond. The Poppy was officially incorporated in May 2019 and the Parliament was added as an addition in November of 2020. Try traditional English fish and chips or if you are feeling more adventurous, go for the Beggar’s Purse Frog Legs.

As we make our way to our last stop on the tour, let me tell you about the Huntsville Crush Wine and Food Festival. This festival was named in the top twenty events of The Southeast Tourism Society and for good reason. This festival offers over 150 wine labels to taste along with plenty of local vendors and food trucks to eat from.

Flight Plan Wine and Tapas
Our final stop on this tour is Flight Plan Wine and Tapas. Flight Plan was started in 2019 by Chefs Jim and Belinda Taylor after they retired from their jobs in pharmaceutical management and education.

Like the name suggests, Flight Plan Wine and Tapas’ speciality is wine flights. Try flights based on location such as “Down Under White” that has a variety of wines from New Zealand and Australia or “Napa Royalty” which offers wines from only the best in Napa Valley.

For those who aren't wine fans, don't worry, Flight Plan also provides a build your own Whisky Flight menu as well.
