Ok. Are you ready to go? Great! Meet me right in front of the 1894 Gallery and City Market on 105 Olive Street. Your navigation will guide you in. See you soon!

1894 Gallery & City Market
1894 Gallery, located in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas, showcases an eclectic collection of artwork from both local and regional artists while also acting as a unique event space.
The art gallery is part of ongoing renovations to the historic 1894 City Market building, which will also include retail space, office space and loft apartments. This setting makes it a perfect stop for those who appreciate both art and architecture.
The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Rumor has it that the post office in downtown Texarkana is the second most photographed post office in the country.
That’s a pretty bold claim, but whether it’s true or not, you’ll still want to stop by, take a look and snap a few shots yourself.
It’s one of those quirky and cool places you’ll find all over rural America, where you can actually stand in two states at one time, which begs the question: if you committed a crime that way, who’d have jurisdiction?
You won’t need to spend much time here to get the full effect.
Looking for a down to earth Mom and Pop local Brewery? Well remember Redbone Magic Brewery for when you are ready to relax with a craft beer and pizza. It is on your right. There’s trivia on Wednesdays and Karaoke on Thursdays. And live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
Texarkana has an abundance of parks. Ferguson Park is one of them. It’s on your right and features 5 acres of recreation space, picnic areas and of course some good playground equipment.
Plenty of schools in the area as well and on your right is Spring Park Elementary. Go Tigers! After you round this corner, look for Elizabeth Street. Turn right there and then make an immediate right on Texas Blvd. Then keep your eyes peeled for a coffee shop on your right. That’s our next stop.
Ahhhh, coffee. It’s one of my favorite things. And if you are looking for Coffee with a Mission, Brewster’s is serving coffee AND the community.
One of the main goals of BB’s is to be able to provide artisan coffee to locals, but also to provide a safe place for people to build relationships, listen to live music, and grab a quick bite. As the Texas weather begins to give way to
fall, make Brewster’s on the Boulevard your go to place for the warmth you desire.
After you coffee- up, follow Texas BLVD to West 40th street, turn right and then follow your navigation up to Spring Lake Park.
Spring Lake Park is the heart and pride of the Texarkana, Texas park system. This 145-acre park features a spring fed lake, open green spaces with picnic areas, playground units, fishing piers and an 18 hole disc golf course. The 1.75 mile Phillip McDougal Walking/Biking Trail strolls throughout the entire park and is a favorite spot for the recreational or avid jogger. Spring Lake Park is also where you will hear the "crack of the bat” at the Swanger Sports Complex, home of the Texarkana, Texas Dixie Baseball League and Dobson Field, home of the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles Baseball team. We have two new additions to the park: The Rotary Splash Pad, where cool, wet fun is a much needed break in the hot summer days and the Kylee Sullivan-PetSafe Dog Park, for our canine companions to enjoy the great outdoors in a safe, secure location. The park is an ideal place to spend a Spring and Fall evening watching Movies in the Park offering new and classic releases. Bring your blanket, snacks, lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of entertainment. The park is located at 4303 North Park Road, between 40th Street and Interstate 30.
Please turn left to get to the Frontage Rd which will get you onto interstate 30

Bobby Ferguson Park
Ready to drive around one of the best parks in town? Great! Take the next exit to get to Bobby Ferguson Park. Turn right on Four States Fair Parkway and then left on East 50th Street so we can drive completely around the park. It will be on your left. With 2 playgrounds, 2 jogging trails, water access, a fishing pier, 19 picnic tables, 2 pavilions and 2 restrooms, this park is a gem. I’m thinking you will agree with me as you drive around it.
Also, on the south side of 50th street you will find the Four States Fair and Rodeo grounds. From barrel racing to cattle roping to horse shows, motor sports, community events and expos, these fair grounds see a lot of action! Of course the yearly State Fair is NOT to be missed. It’s an event that is talked about all year long here in Texarkana. Visit fourstatesfair.com for more info.
Are you enjoying the drive? I sure am. Please keep following the loop around the park. Or if you’d like, stop and spend a little time here at Bobby Ferguson Park. You pick. Eventually though, we need to get back to interstate 30.
