Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
Welcome to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, coming up on your right — a true cornerstone of New Mexico’s Native heritage.

This center was founded by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico as a place to preserve, celebrate, and share their rich history, art, and traditions. Inside, you’ll find beautiful exhibits that trace Pueblo life from ancient times to today — from pottery and weaving to music, dance, and storytelling.

What really sets this place apart are the live cultural dances that take place most weekends, performed by members of local pueblos. Each dance tells a story — about nature, community, and the deep spiritual connection between people and the land.

If you have time to stop, check out the on-site restaurant, Indian Pueblo Kitchen. It’s not your typical museum café — they serve Native-inspired dishes made from traditional ingredients like blue corn, bison, and green chile.

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center isn’t just a museum — it’s a living space, run by Native people, dedicated to keeping their culture vibrant and alive for generations to come.

Explora Science Center and Tiguex Park
Take a look to your right — that’s Explora, Albuquerque’s hands-on science center that turns curiosity into adventure. Everything inside is meant to be touched, built, and explored — from bubbles and light experiments to motion labs and water exhibits. It’s one of those rare places where kids and adults are equally entertained. If you’ve ever wanted to see science come alive through play, this is the place to do it.

Now, glance over to your left — that’s Tiguex Park, a wide, open green space that’s a local favorite for relaxing, playing soccer, or just soaking in the New Mexico sun. The park is named after the Tiguex people, Puebloan communities who once lived along the Rio Grande, long before the Spanish arrived.

Together, Explora and Tiguex Park form the heart of Albuquerque’s cultural corridor — where history, science, and community all come together. Whether you’re looking to experiment, unwind, or just enjoy the view, this stretch of the city captures the spirit of exploration perfectly.
