Instead, my tour will take you through the streets of Athens, still circling around that famous hill, but throughout other parts of the city, that are just as important, so you can truly get a taste of life here in Athens. There is so much to see in this lovely place, so I hope you are ready to experience the culture and history of the Athenians, old and new!

There are public transportation stops here, as well as garage parking at Fosi, one block away, if you drove. Our tour will take us through many narrow streets , so hopefully no one is claustrophobic! From here, we move through Plac Jana Matejki, named for Poland’s most celebrated historical painter, where grand monuments and architectural splendor tell stories of national pride and resilience. As we enter Old Town, the heart of medieval Kraków, we will stroll down streets once walked by kings, scholars, and merchants, passing Gothic churches, Renaissance palaces, and the echoes of the city’s golden age. Finally, our journey concludes along the Vistula River, the lifeblood of the city, where Kraków’s history stretches from medieval trade routes to modern urban renewal. We will explore culinary delights along the way and visit the wondrous Wawel Castle. This tour offers a deep dive into the cultural and historical layers of Kraków, revealing a city shaped by faith, resilience, and artistic brilliance. Our journey today will take us about one and a half miles at a time of roughly three hours. The terrain is fairly flat, but still. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged. If you’re anything like me, the film “Notting Hill” surely left an everlasting impression since the first time you watched it. The iconic romantic comedy that came out in 1999, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, quickly became a sensation to all those who saw it. Taking place in Notting Hill, a vibrant neighborhood in West London, the film has left an indelible mark on the area, turning many of its picturesque streets and quaint shops into must-visit destinations for movie lovers like us. This walking tour will begin at The Ritz, the exact hotel where Julia Roberts’ character was staying in the film. We will then take a lovely stroll through the amazing Hyde Park to learn a bit about London’s history and the important landmarks within the grass, until we pop out the other side in Notting Hill! We will get to see all of the influential sites from the film, along with stories, and new interesting facts. It is so much fun to immerse yourself in your favorite movie, but Notting Hill is a special one indeed. From the iconic blue door to the eclectic markets that show in the opening scene, this tour will take you through the film step by step. I can’t wait to get going, I promise it will be “surreal but nice!”

Another nearby option is Monument Station, which is served by the Circle and District lines.
