Crossing the Dubrovnik Bridge – A View to Remember
As you leave Dubrovnik behind, you'll cross the elegant Franjo Tuđman Bridge, a modern cable-stayed structure that spans the Rijeka Dubrovačka. Named after Croatia’s first president, this bridge isn’t just a crucial transport link—it’s a powerful symbol of the country’s post-war independence and modern identity.

Completed in 2002 after years of planning and delays due to the Croatian War of Independence, the bridge stretches 518 meters (1,699 feet) in length and towers 141 meters (463 feet) above the water at its highest point.
