A tu derecha, elevándose sobre el centro de la ciudad en una colina, el Capitolio del Estado de Iowa es la joya de la corona de Des Moines — y sí, esa cúpula realmente está cubierta de oro de 23 quilates.

Completado en 1886, este es uno de los pocos capitolios estatales en América con cinco cúpulas. La cúpula central se eleva casi 275 pies sobre el suelo, haciéndola visible desde millas de distancia y colocando simbólicamente al gobierno de Iowa por encima de la ciudad a la que sirve.

Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.
Download the app (Android or iOS), purchase the tour (either here on the website, or from within the app).

Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
